To celebrate five years of marriage, Andy and I took off for a week-long tour of Iceland stopping for a couple nights each in Reykjavik, Hofn, and Akureyri. The scenery is amazing---if you don't like what you are looking at (and you'd be crazy not to!), all you have to do is drive a few kilometers and there is something totally new.
First Stop: Reykjavik and surroundings!
After spending the morning of our first day at the
Blue Lagoon (ridiculously amazingly awesome) and then wandering Reykjavik in the afternoon, Sunday we drove
The Golden Circle starting with Þingvellir,
then to the Great Geysir area (where the word geyser actually originated),
And finally checking out the amazing waterfall Gullfoss.
We spent some time wandering around Reykjavik checking out the Hallgrimskirkja church,
spying a disc golf course, and
learning three ways to tie a necktie!

Yay Iceland!
Yeah, more pics please! James says, "That is kind-of beautiful, those waterfalls."
and
"That building looks like a space shuttle, " regarding the church.
