A quick explanation in case it wasn't clear...unlike most states, NC does not include the presidential race in their straight ticket choice. Not sure why, but it's meant that there are Tar Heels who think they've voted for Obama or McCain who haven't. It seems dumb. But maybe it's just an incentive to think about each race and not blindly follow a party!
